Ganga Pujan
Deity: Mother Ganga (Maa Ganga), the holy river, the carrier of souls
About the Puja: Ganga did not always flow on earth. She flowed only through the heavens. The sage Bhagiratha did years of penance to bring her down. He wanted her waters to free the souls of his ancestors. But her descent was so powerful, it would have shattered the earth. So Lord Shiva caught her in his matted locks. He let her flow out slowly, gently, onto the Himalayas. Since then, Ganga has been more than a river. She is the mother who takes away the sins of those who touch her waters. She is the path through which souls find peace.
Our verified Vedic priests perform the puja on her sacred banks. Lamps are lit, flowers are floated, and offerings are made to her flowing waters. Ancient Vedic hymns are chanted while the river carries each prayer forward. Many families book this puja during Ganga Dussehra and Kartik Purnima. Devotees also book it for healing, for ancestral peace, and for spiritual cleansing. Muhurat is taken fresh from the Panchang. Book Ganga Pujan with us, and we handle the full vidhi on the ghat.
